Description: GRAS- Fennel is a perennial herb up to 2 meters high with feathery leaves and golden yellow flowers.

Common Uses: Fennel supports the digestive function and assists the liver in producing the enzymes.  Balances hormones and supports the body in reducing PMS and menopausal symptoms, urinary stones, gout, cystitis, gas, vomiting, intestinal spasms, intestinal parasites, increase lactation, diabetes, emotional stress.  Assists liver, kidney and spleen, restore moisture to dry and dehydrated skin. Regularly massaging Fennel oil into the breasts may assist in keeping them firm and attractive.  May restore muscle tone, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, clear excess mucus, eye problems, improve overall body functions.  Used in Europe for its detoxifying action in treatment of alcohol and drug abuse, may counteract alcohol poisoning, urinary infection, diuretic, rheumatism, asthma, bronchitis, constipation, and hiccups.  Assists the reproductive system in toning.  It is also believed to be invigorating, restoring, stimulating, and warming.

Blends well with: Bergamot, Lavender, Frankincense and Rose.

Aromatic Scent: Fennel Sweet Essential Oil has a spicy, sweet scent. The scent is similar to that of black licorice.

History: Fennel comes from the Latin word ‘foenum’ which means ‘hay’. It is a herb of ancient repute, believed to encourage longevity, courage and strength. The Romans valued it for its digestive properties and the Greeks believed it to be a slimming herb.

Cautions: May cause skin irritation. Dilute well before use. Avoid use during pregnancy.
