Fennel Seed (Foeniculum vulgare dulce)
Description: GRAS- Fennel is a perennial herb up to 2 meters high with feathery leaves and golden yellow flowers.
Common Uses: Fennel supports the digestive function and assists the liver in producing the enzymes. Balances hormones and supports the body in reducing PMS and menopausal symptoms, urinary stones, gout, cystitis, gas, vomiting, intestinal spasms, intestinal parasites, increase lactation, diabetes, emotional stress. Assists liver, kidney and spleen, restore moisture to dry and dehydrated skin. Regularly massaging Fennel oil into the breasts may assist in keeping them firm and attractive. May restore muscle tone, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, clear excess mucus, eye problems, improve overall body functions. Used in Europe for its detoxifying action in treatment of alcohol and drug abuse, may counteract alcohol poisoning, urinary infection, diuretic, rheumatism, asthma, bronchitis, constipation, and hiccups.
